Become one with the flora and fauna of the Southern Appalachians as you quietly stand up paddle a mountain lake up to the source, the Toccoa River.. View wild flowers, waterfowl and raptors, including occasional Bald Eagle sightings. The tour includes SUP lesson and a healthy riverside picnic. This lake tour is available on Lake Blue Ridge.
Lake Blue Ridge Tours-
1-3 paddlers $90 each
Groups $75 each (minimum 4 adults, maximum 6 total) Under 14 not recommended. Distance round trip 4.5 miles. In windy conditions, this trip can be arduous to finish comfortably. If you can't walk equal to this distance on a slight incline without tiring, may not be thing for you.
Lesson included. Includes all equipment,water and healthy picnic on riverside rocks where Toccoa River feeds lake Blue Ridge. Allow 4 hours with travel to and from the lake. This can be an arduous paddle if windy conditions.
Toccoa River Run - $85 person 1-2 paddlers
$75 per person 3-4 paddlers
Actual paddle time, 2-2.5 hours (7 miles). Allow 4 hours from time you sign up at store and travel to and from river. Includes all equipment. A perfect introduction to river SUP. Beautiful clear water, easy rolling rapids, wild flowers, birds, waterfowl and playful otters. Minimum age 14. All tours include boards, paddles, booties, pfds, miscellaneous equipment and water.. Carters Lake
Begin at remote Ridgeway Landing and paddle to a cascading waterfall, then on to the main body of the lake. Cruise along undeveloped shoreline on one of the deepest lakes in the South. Next destination is another waterfall in a guarded cove of flooded standing timber. On to a small creek and picnic on the rocks of a stream entering the cove. Your host may be a family of otters that frequent this spot.
